100% recyclable and recycled, Verre Infini fits naturally into an eco-design approach. It therefore supports sustainable development strategies.]]>
-
What is eco-design?
It is an approach which aims to reduce the environmental impact of products throughout their lifecycle, from design to recycling. Without altering their quality or aesthetics.]]>
-
How do we "eco-design"?
By paying particular attention to the consumption of resources and energy, the production of waste or the emission of pollutants and to the recovery of the product at the end of its life.
By taking into account all the materials used in the production chain: recycled plastics, tree-free cardboard, less over-packaging, formulas which do not use rare raw materials...]]>

Why is SGD adopting such an approach?
Glass is the ideal material for eco-design. Together with steel, it is the only material which can be recycled "to infinity" Its neutrality makes it compatible with the majority of perfumes and cosmetic formulas, with no risk of contamination or the alteration of their subtle nature.
Verre Infini is the 1st 100 recycled and 100% recyclable glass, dedicated to perfumery and cosmetics.]]>

Bio certifications and the different labels are moving towards an analysis of the lifecycle of cosmetic products. They now take account of the product-packaging combination. Associations are working on specifications so they can guarantee consumers that the product and its container are ecological in origin.
New regulations also favour the reuse of materials and the reduction of waste. With Verre Infini, SGD is anticipating these regulatory developments.]]>

SGD precursor
With the « Naya Movement », SGD is at the origin of an initiative which brings together 5 industrial partners aiming to place eco-design at the heart of Beauty.
Naya, the first 100% eco-designed cosmetic product, is the illustration of this:
